  Destin Beach, located in the heart of the Florida panhandle, is a pristine jewel right on the Gulf of Mexico. Its powdery white sands are ideal for long walks and sandcastle competitions. And the emerald-green waters? Perfect for boating, paddleboarding, jet skiing, or just splashing around.

  You guys can easily spend day after day tanning and sipping piña coladas. But if you get the urge to explore, head over to the Destin Harbor Boardwalk, a lively waterfront venue packed with restaurants, shops, and live music venues.

  But whatever else you do in Acadia, include a visit to the peak of Cadillac Mountain. The highest point on the Eastern seaboard provides gorgeous panoramic views over the Atlantic, especially at sunrise—it’s often the first spot in the U.S. to see sunlight.
